Reading Minnesota Blog

I’m this week’s featured author on the Reading Minnesota Blog.
There’s a preview to my upcoming releases, and check out that hat! It’s from a picture taken in the Amana Colonies in Iowa. My dad, little brother, and I were having fun trying on the odd assortment of hats one of the gift shops had [...]

My Creative Space

Recently I bought a house, and while there are many things with this big purchase to be excited about from my new compost bin (built specially for me by my dad), a backyard for my dog Zuki, an herb garden, a rain barrel, etc . . . the one thing that has me energized is [...]

Stone Arch Books’ Featured Author of the Month

That’s me! Check it out. Probably an apt choice since I am a poet, and it’s National Poetry Month. Just don’t laugh about the hat — it’s the only one I could find in their prop room that fit my enormous noggin. Not sure if I was trying to do a comical shot or a [...]

My Claim to Fame

Happy Holidays!

The Cybils Awards

A couple of my books, Harley Quinn’s Shocking Surprise and Eek and Ack vs the Wolfman, have been nominated for The Cybils Children’s and Young Adults Literary Awards.
Wish me luck!

Movie News

Just read some strange, yet exciting, news: DC Comics will begin production on a Lobo movie in 2010, and its release may coincide with the publication date of my Lobo story.
From what I’ve heard, Guy Ritchie will direct. Beyond that, I don’t have many details.
Stay tuned . . .

The Boy’s Book of Positive Quotations

A while back, I met with a friend, Steve Deger, to chat about the latest project he had in the works. He was putting together an inspirational book of quotes for boys, and since many of my publications are aimed at his target audience, he wanted to pick my brain for ideas. My suggestion: include [...]

Sports Illustrated

Exciting news! My graphic novels Kickoff Blitz and Bicycle Kick (working title) will be part of a series published in partnership with Sport Illustrated. The news was recently released via Publishers Weekly.
DC Comics, and now this. It’s been a very good year.
