New Release — Cosmic Bounty Hunter

Just out . . .

Cosmic Bounty Hunter
Summary: Intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo has a new job. The evil aliens Kalibak and Desaad have hired him to capture Superman — dead or alive! When Lobo finally wrangles with the Man of Steel, the aliens aren’t far behind. They don’t trust Lobo, however, and trap [...]

DC Comics News

I’m starting the year out with two pieces of good news.

DC Comics liked my Lobo story, so other than a few minor tweaks, it’s ready to be sent to the illustrator.
Stone Arch Books has expanded the selection of DC Superheroes that they are using for their chapter books to include Flash and the Green Lantern [...]

My Nerves

I finished up my latest DC Super Heroes book, Bounty Hunter (working title), a few weeks back, and it has been approved by the editor at Stone Arch Books. Now is the nerve racking step in the process: the DC editors must also approve the story. It was just sent to them.
So far, except for [...]

Movie News

Just read some strange, yet exciting, news: DC Comics will begin production on a Lobo movie in 2010, and its release may coincide with the publication date of my Lobo story.
From what I’ve heard, Guy Ritchie will direct. Beyond that, I don’t have many details.
Stay tuned . . .

Livewire

Livewire! is now available, and wraps up my ‘09 releases. It’s also the final title in the trilogy of DC Comics titles I’ve been working on that involve super villainesses.
Livewire (a.k.a. Leslie Willis) is probably my favorite of the trio. She’s sassy and full of witty insults, mostly aimed at Superman.
While working on this title, [...]

Harley Quinn’s Shocking Surprise

In my latest DC Super Heroes book, Harley Quinn’s Shocking Surprise, Harley Quinn captures Robin, and Batman rushes to the rescue. What the Dark Knight doesn’t realize is that the clues he’s following lead into a trap. He and the Boy Wonder might just become shark bait.
The fun part of writing this book was it [...]

Superman vs Lobo (working title)

Recently I finished writing a Livewire (Superman) and Harley Quinn (Batman) story, and was asked if I wanted to take on another Superman book. At first, I thought I’d continue my streak of writing about super villainesses, but I’m not familiar with any others that the Man of Steel could battle. Instead I picked one [...]

Under the Red Sun

Under the Red Sun is now available.
Unlike Batman, I didn’t know much about Superman. Sure, I’ve seen all the Christopher Reeve’s movies and knew the basics, but that didn’t prepare me to write a book about him. I had to immerse myself into the Man of Steel’s world through research.
Even though Superman is a fictional [...]

Poison Ivy’s Deadly Garden

Exciting news, and a dream come true: my first DC Super Heroes title, Poison Ivy’s Deadly Garden, was released earlier this year.
The ten-year-old boy in me is jumping for joy. I never imagined I would get the chance to write a story about one of my childhood heroes. Yeah, I was an avid watcher of [...]

Batman vs Harley Quinn (working title)

Having already worked on stories about Poison Ivy and Livewire, I’m sticking with another villainess for my next Batman title in Stone Arch Books’ DC Super Heroes series.
It’s Mr. J’s birthday, and Harley Quinn wants to get him something special. After trapping Robin, she sets a trail of clues for Batman to follow in [...]
